Lawn ticket holders are allowed to bring blankets for their picnics. Beginning our 2019 season, lawn chairs are allowed in the lawn area. Food and drink are available for purchase inside the amphitheatre.

While a number of people contributed, the effort fell short of the amount required for construction. The funds collected were used to improve grades in a natural amphitheatre area on the property and a portable stage was used for community concerts. For a number of years, the Mableton community enjoyed the use of the historic Mable House grounds for a variety of activities. Kicking off the series on May 4th are the soulful sounds of Will Downing and Chrisette Michelle, setting the stage for what promises to be an incredible season of music.
Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre is the result of former Governor Roy Barnes' goal to provide Mableton with a quality outdoor theatre. Shortly after his election in 2000, he contacted the Cobb Board of Commissioners and asked that a program for such a facility be developed. This was quickly done and Governor Barnes, with the support of the local legislative delegation, provided a state grant for construction. A comedian, actor and radio host born and raised in Washington, D.C., Nathaniel Stroman has been better known as Earthquake ever since he was given the nickname by his mother.
For those with a taste for nostalgia, July brings a blast from the past with performances by Midnight Star, SOS Band, Mikki Howard, and Glenn Jones. And hip-hop aficionados won’t want to miss out on the July 6th show featuring KRS One, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Mr. Cheeks, and Nice & Smooth.
